Over the course of three days, representatives from the Cabo Ortegal Geopark, the Deputación da Coruña, the municipalities of Cariño and Moeche, as well as several companies and associations from the Galician territory, had the opportunity to learn about the educational projects, geologic and cultural sites of interest, and the various initiatives developed by the Arouca UNESCO Global Geopark.

This visit aimed to strengthen cooperation between territories that are members of the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network, who share a common mission: to promote geodiversity, foster local cultural identity, and support the sustainable development of their communities.

The Cabo Ortegal Geopark was designated a UNESCO Global Geopark in 2023, and since then has been consolidating its presence and active participation in the network, strengthening ties with other geoparks, such as Arouca Geopark.
