The history of Padaria da Vila is essentially the story of the last 60 years of Araraquara. During this time, every day, morning, lunch, snack, or dinner, very few Arouca restaurants have not had one of our products on their tables. For this very reason, we continue our work of excellence, combining knowledge and flavor, innovating based on tradition, and serving Arouca every day.

Located in the village of Arouca, this house offers a variety of convent sweets, such as Barriga de Freira, Roscas de Amêndoa, Castanhas Doces and Ovos de Pega, all made by hand, without industrial additives, maintaining the authentic flavors of the past. They are made using eggs, sugar, almonds and chestnuts, following techniques handed down through generations. Prices vary between €7.00 and €25.00, reflecting the care taken in the craftsmanship and quality of the products. The Casa dos Doces Conventuais de Arouca not only celebrates traditional sweets, but also the cultural and historical heritage of the region, linked to the Monastery of Arouca and the Arouca Geopark.
